Queer Design Club

My name is Royal and I'm currently the Digital Communications Coordinator at the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State (DASS)! I previously interned with the Federal Trade Commission and BerlinRosen.

How does being queer inform your work?

Everything I have learned over my life has been filtered through the lens of being bisexual and transgender. It is not a welcoming world - though it used to be - and microaggressions exist in a lot of otherwise normal conversations. But I will see a pin or a flag on someone's Zoom background and feel a sigh of relief knowing someone is in my corner.
