I am a graphic designer, web designer and communications professional. As Clau Studio I combine design, branding and illustration skills with a strategic understanding of communications and technology to help those who aim to make a difference.

How does being queer inform your work?

As a queer, non-binary immigrant, I began Clau Studio to help charities supporting these communities, and small immigrant and queer-owned businesses trying to make their mark in a crowded market. Since then, it has grown to offer solutions to clients across sectors who want to make a difference. When I’m not designing, I’m probably reading and writing about queer theory and intersectionality.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

I love to visit queer and trans archives with art, photography, books, protest materials and zines and regularly find visual inspiration there.

Which other queer people inspire you?

Whenever I meet a fellow queer creative or freelancer there's an instant desire to support one another. I continually feel inspired by our community's drive to uplift one another.
