How does being queer inform your work?

I think design is inherently queer. It's about seeing what's not there, challenging the status quo, and finding new ways to experience the world—just as queerness does. My queer perspective shapes how I approach design because I don't look at the world through the same lens as someone who's straight. My experiences, the resilience I've built, and the way I've learned to navigate and question conventions all inform my creative process.

Which other queer people inspire you?

I'm inspired by Oscar Wilde. His wit, creativity, and boldness in challenging norms as a designer. Wilde's embrace of his queer identity despite the cost reminds me of the power of authenticity and resilience.
