I am a graphic designer with a background in campaigns and digital communications. I am a visual communicator. I love using design to visually represent a message, making people feel the information you are trying to convey.

How does being queer inform your work?

Queer culture is so incredibly rich and delicious, it has given me so many things to dive in to from film and tv, to music, art, design. I get so much inspiration from this richness. And my queerness informs my way of working. I've spent a lot of time in non-hierarchical queer activist spaces. I do not want to replicate the elitism in traditional graphic design agencies, and want to work together with collaborators to produce the most exciting and creative work, that fits the breif!

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

I went to see the Aids Memorial Quilt at the Tate Modern recently. Although I'd known about the quilt for years, seeing it in reality was still so incredibly moving. Seeing the loving dedications to so many people who died, and so many who could not be named because of fear and stigma. The love and grief poured in to each square is felt so strongly. In the face of being ignored and shamed, people came together create beautiful work and community to remember their loved ones when society wanted to forget them.

Which other queer people inspire you?

My friends, every day.
