Portuguese UX/Product Designer with a software engineering background. Ex-Deloitte & IBM. I lead design teams and speak about design and queerness. I simplify complex problems into inclusive experiences and thrive in remote, cross-functional teams.

How does being queer inform your work?

Being queer taught me to read between the lines, recognizing patterns, scanning for safety, and adapting through code-switching. These skills fuel my design practice with deeper empathy, nuance, and a strong lens for inclusion.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

It’s a Sin is a standout for me. It's visually rich, emotionally devastating, and full of queer joy, friendship, and resilience. It reminded me how design and storytelling can honor lives, build empathy, and refuse to let history be forgotten. It also humanized the victims of that era in a way that I hadn't seen before.

Which other queer people inspire you?

I’m inspired by Marsha P. Johnson. Her courage during the Stonewall riots and her work afterwards remind me that visibility isn’t enough without action. She turned survival into resistance, and her legacy pushes me to design with care, justice, and joy.
