How does being queer inform your work?

Being queer has taught me how to live, lead, and hold space from the margins. It’s shaped my ability to see systems, question norms, and center experiences that are often invisible. It’s also given me a deep respect for complexity, for the in-between, the nonlinear, the fluid, and the emergent. Queerness has made me a better facilitator. It’s why I notice the power dynamics in the room. It’s why I build spaces that are spacious, trauma-informed, and rooted in belonging. It’s why I care deeply about making learning not just informative, but transformative. It also gives me range. I can meet people in vulnerability, in anger, in joy, and in the messy middle. I know what it’s like to shape-shift to fit in, and I also know the power of reclaiming your voice, your story, your enoughness. In short: being queer is not just part of who I am, it’s part of how I see, feel, connect, and lead. It’s one of my greatest assets in this work.
