How does being queer inform your work?

Being queer, like any part of my identity, shapes how I move through the world — and by extension, how I design. It’s made me more aware of exclusion in subtle forms, from the images we choose to the language we use. I care deeply about inclusive and accessible design, and I’m always thinking about how to reflect diverse realities in meaningful, non-tokenistic ways.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

Two of my favourite queer films are Love Is Strange and Supernova. Both are quiet, tender portrayals of queer love that feel grounded and deeply human.

Which other queer people inspire you?

I'm from Singapore, and a group I really admire is Q Chamber, a professional network and the country’s first LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce. They're doing incredible work connecting queer professionals, advocating for workplace inclusion, and creating space in a place that hasn’t always welcomed us.
