Queer Design Club

I am a lvl 47 designer and developer. My background is in design but learned web dev on my own through jobs and my interest for learning things. I love music design work, flyers, album art its why I got into design.

How does being queer inform your work?

Being trans to be is about visibility. No one can see you are trans unless you take steps and so I luv incorporating the pride colors of light pink, baby blue, and white into my design work. Its also about showing something with flair, panache, and style. We are not boring designers and our work should reflect that!

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

The quilt blanket on the lawn at the Washington Monument. Its a symbol of those who have passed on without us but we still remember and honor their memories!

Which other queer people inspire you?

I am inspired by this trans woman called Cool Trans Girl or CTG, her name is Aria. Although quite a bit younger than me, she is inspiration in her approach to connecting with her audience using a zine enewsletter and invites others to take part in it and share their experience and journey!
