Portland, OR, United States

I'm a trans woman, designer, and front-end developer with over 10 years of experience working for tech start-ups.

How does being queer inform your work?

Being queer has shaped the way I approach UX design with empathy, curiosity, and a critical eye toward systems. It’s made me deeply aware of how exclusion can show up in subtle ways, and it drives me to create experiences that feel affirming, accessible, and thoughtful for everyone. Queerness has taught me to question assumptions, embrace nuance, and design with a more expansive view of who our users are and what they need.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

Currently I'm exploring and enjoying films that explore the trans experience. Soldier's Girl is a notable example.

Which other queer people inspire you?

I have a beautiful circle of queer friends, and really they inspire me the most.
